The second annual Redout, a non-alcoholic block party before a soccer contest, is planned for Sunday before the men's soccer contest against Sacramento State. Open at 11 a.m., the event includes games, food and fun. For the event, the university will close 13th Avenue, between East Cherry Street and East Columbia Street.

Led by the Office for Wellness and Health Promotion, the Redout is a cooperative effort between several campus groups, including Redzone, Student Activities, the Residence Hall Association, Alumni Relations and Athletics. The event is free and open to the public. In addition, students can get a free hot dog and mug of root beer. Fans can join the food fun for $5.

The main event of the afternoon is the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's soccer match between Seattle U and Sacramento State. Seattle U is competing in the confererence for the second season. Last year, the Hornets won the MPSF conference title and earned an NCAA Tournament bid. Sacramento State upended Santa Clara in the first round, 2-1, before falling to UCLA in the second round. The Hornets and Redhawks met twice last year, splitting the two results.

Tickets for the men's soccer match are $9 for reserved benchback seating, $7 for adult general admission and $5 for youth (17 and under) or senior (65 or older) general admission seating. For ticket information, go to goseattleu.com or contact the ticket office at (206) 398-GOSU (4678).
