The Seattle University athletic training room utilizes several allied health care professionals in the surrounding community to assist in the overall health care of the Seattle University varsity student-athletes. These medical professionals are chosen for their excellence in their practice and commitment to the health and performance the varsity student-athletes. The core team physician staff regularly assists in the evaluation and treatment of the athletes.
This team is coordinated by Dr. Michael Erickson of Swedish Sports Medicine. Associate Team Physicians include Dr. Scott Hormel of Orthopedic Physicians Associates, and Dr. William Wagner Jr. from Seattle Hand Surgery. All of our physicians are available for weekly clinical visits in the athletic training room as well as office referrals for the Seattle Univeristy varsity student-athletes.
Dr. Dan McKay serves as our primary team dentist. A Seattle University alum, Dr. McKay has worked with the SU student-athletes for several years and was also a former varsity men's soccer athlete for the Redhawks. Dr. McKay has his private practice in the heart of Seattle providing excellent care in general and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Nick Throburn heads up our chiropractic services for the Seattle University varsity student-athletes. Nick has experience in working with a variety of athletes and specializes in soft tissue management as well as joint injury and mobilization techniques.
