Scouting Northern Colorado: The Bears of UNC enter the final weekend of the PCSC regular season riding 14-34 overall, 10-6 PCSC record. Northern Colorado is coming off a 1-3 weekend series versus Portland State, dropping them to third place in the PCSC.
Guiding the Bear offense is Kelli Henderson, who in 48 consecutive starts, is batting .385 (57-for-148). She's tallied 29 RBIs, 27 runs and 16 doubles, and is the only UNC player to be hitting over .300 entering this weekend's action.
Henderson is also the Bear's defensive leader, as she has pitched 165.1 innings to lead the Northern Colorado four-player pitching staff. She holds a 10-16 record and a 4.66 ERA. In 41 appearances, she's allowed 215 hits, while throwing 144 strikeouts.
