In the early game, ISU took off with a 2-0 lead in the first inning. SU responded by cutting down their lead behind a Sarah Petosa (Auburn, Wash.) RBI single.
The Bengals made it a two-run contest with a solo home run in the bottom half of the second.
In the fourth inning, Natalie Leyland (Richland, Wash.) doubled to left center to send home a pair of Redhawk runs. Jessica Ulrich (Lewiston, Idaho) gave Seattle U their first lead, 4-3, with her RBI double.
Idaho State outlasted SU, adding a pair of runs in the sixth and seventh innings to earn a 5-4 victory.
In game two, Allegra Wilde (Kennewick, Wash.) opened action with a three-run home run to right center to give SU a 3-0 lead in the first.
Idaho State responded with a run of their own, but Wilde was there once again in the second inning to keep the Redhawks on top. She hit a two out single to left field, bringing home a pair of Seattle U runs.
The Redhawks lost control of the game in the bottom of the second, as ISU scored eight runs. The Bengals added three additional runs in the fourth and sixth innings to hold a 12-5 advantage heading into the seventh inning.
In the top of the seventh, Petosa doubled to left center to score a pair of runs. Wilde tallied her sixth RBI of the game with her RBI single down the right field line to conclude SU's scoring in the game.
Seattle U will conclude action at Idaho State on Sunday, May 1. Doubleheader action kicks off at 11 a.m.
