Seattle University swimmer Jordan Anderson (Newberg, Ore.) has been selected as this week’s Featured Student-Athlete of the Week on GoSeattleU.com for his performance at the MPSF Championships on Feb. 23-26.

"Throughout the season Jordan has been the guy that the team can count on," said assistant coach Henry Hudson. "He is a naturally talented swimmer and loves to race and win. This season Jordan combined his natural talents with a strong work ethic and a dedication to learn more about the sport. The result was two Conference wins, two individual school records, and a NCAA "B" cut in the 50 yard freestyle."

At the Championships, Anderson won both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle in 20.12 and 44.77, respectively. In addition, he set a school record in the 100 freestyle preliminaries with a time of 44.56.  He also swam on the school record setting 200 medley relay that finished in 1:30.58, swimming the third leg in 21.28.

In other events, he also came in third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 48.88, was the lead leg on the second-place 200 freestyle relay in 20.10 (1:21.61), and swam the third leg on the 400 freestyle relay in 43.87 (3:01.47).
