The Seattle University women's golf team combined to post back-to-back scores of 328 Monday to finish the first day of the Fresno State Lexus Classic in 14th place with a two-round total of 656 (+80) at the Copper River Country Club.

Christine Cook (Yakima, Wash.) and Shannon Quinn (Shoreline, Wash.) posted identical scores in both rounds Monday, with each player shooting 79 and 81 for a 36-hole total of 160 (+16), finishing the day in a tie for 38th place. Caitlin McCleary (The Dalles, Ore.) and Lori Pearson (Seattle, Wash.) also took the same amount of strokes to complete each round, shooting 85 and 83 to finish the day in a tie for 70th place with a cumulative score of 168 (+24). Nicole Gaddie (Salt Lake City, Utah) improved from a first-round 91 to a second-round 84 for a two-round total of 175 (+31), currently in 81st place in the individual standings.

As a team, Seattle University is three strokes behind Sacramento State and five strokes ahead of Boise State. UC Davis, the 18th-ranked team in the country, leads the team standings by ten strokes over San Francisco, while USF's Katrina Hegge leads the individual standings at 145 (+1), one stroke ahead of Miki Ueoka of Santa Clara.

The Fresno State Lexus Classic will conclude Tuesday with a final 18-hole round, beginning at 8 a.m. with players teeing off from both the first and 10th holes.
