Up Next For the Redhawks: After a solid road win, the Seattle University women's basketball team returns home to host their annual Pink Zone game this Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. The Redhawks will faceoff with the Eastern Washington Eagles (8-13, 4-5 Big Sky). The game will work to raise money and awareness about breast cancer prevention.
Last Time Out: The Redhawks (6-17) put together a dominating win over Long Beach State on Feb. 4, 73-54. The victory snapped a six-game SU losing skid. In the contest, Salena Dickerson and Elle Kerfoot each scored 13 points, while Ashley Ward added 10 points.
On Deck: Seattle U will host their final home game of the 2010-11 season on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 4 p.m. The Redhawks will honor the graduating senior class at the game.

Pink Zone: Tuesday's game will mark the Redhawks annual Pink Zone game raising awareness for breast cancer prevention and money for the Kay Yow Foundation. There will be tons of free prizes and a limited edition pink Seattle U women's basketball t-shirt for sale.
Fans wearing pink will receive $1 admission.
A Perfect Return: Head coach Joan Bonvicini's return to Long Beach State could not have been scripted more perfectly. The Redhawks were dominate versus the 49ers, as they earned a 73-54 victory. The entire lineup contributed in the effort.
The Skid is Snapped: Seattle U's 73-54 victory over Long Beach State snapped a six-game losing skid. The Redhawks earned their sixth victory of the season over The Beach.
No. 6 in the Nation: Daidra Brown is No. 6 in the nation in steals per game. The sophomore transfer is averaging 3.3 spg, behind 23 games played and 76 total steals on the season.
Kerfoot Continues Offensive Tear: Junior point guard Elle Kerfoot scored in double figures in the last seven games, including a 13 point, five rebound and five assist performance at Long Beach State on Feb. 4. She is averaging a team-leading 12.3 ppg.
The End is Near: Seattle U will close out the home half of the 2010-11 schedule on Saturday, Feb. 12, in a 4 p.m. game
In the Classroom: The Redhawks excelled in the classroom during the Fall Quarter. The team posted above a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Redhawks Add Midseason Transfer: Seattle U added sophomore point guard Nichole Jackson to the Redhawk hoops squad for the Winter 2011 quarter. Due to NCAA transfer rule she will have to sit out for a year and will be eligible to begin action with SU in the Winter of 2012.
Some Coaching History: Head coach Joan Bonvicini enters Wednesday's action behind 624 career victories. She is in the top-20 in all-time wins among both active DI coaches and all-time DI history.
Kerfoot Named to All-Tournament Team: Co-captain and point guard Elle Kerfoot was the selected to the Seattle U Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team on Nov. 27, following her 30 point performance and helping guide SU to the championship game.
Seattle U Inks Three for 2011-12: Monique Abbs (Phoenix, Ariz.), Renee Dillard-Brown (Seattle, Wash.) and Kim Flournoy (San Diego, Calif.) will join the Seattle U women's team next season. This is the second recruiting class head coach Joan Bonvicini has signed since joining SU for the 2009-10 season.
The Captains: Junior point guard Elle Kerfoot and senior post Tatiana Heck will serve as captains for the Redhawks is 2010-11.
Scouting Eastern Washington: Eastern Washington enters Tuesday's game with an 8-13 overall, 4-5 Big Sky record. The Eagles are currently on a four-game losing streak, dropping their most recent game to Idaho State in overtime, 75-69, on Feb. 5.
EWU has four players scoring double digits. Leading the Eagles is junior Brianna Ryan with 14.2 ppg and 4.6 rpg, followed by Tatjana Sparavalo (11.5 ppg, 5.4 rpg), Julie Piper (11.4, 7.0 rpg) and Chene Cooper (10.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg). Cooper is also the assist leader with 5.5 dishes per game.
