Last Time Out: The Redhawks (2-6) put together their first victory on the road at Portland, 61-58, on Dec. 1. Salena Dickerson led the Redhawks with 16 points to guide SU offensively.
Dickerson again was the team's offensive leader on Dec. 5, versus Boise State. Her 18 points helped the Redhawks chop down a 28-point lead by the Broncos. A strong second half effort was not enough, as Seattle U fell 66-57 to BSU.
On Deck: Seattle U will hit the road for three games in the Golden State following their two-game stint at home this weekend. They will travel to Sacramento State (Dec. 17), Santa Clara (Dec. 19) and close out the three-game swing at Saint Mary's on Dec. 21.

Dickerson Continues to Light Up the Floor: Senior Salena Dickerson continues to be an offensive leader for the Redhawks. She has scored in double figures in five of SU's eight games played. In eight consecutive starts, she leads the team with 12 ppg. She is the second top rebounder with 5.9 rpg.
Redhawks See Success on the Road: Seattle U put together their first victory of the season on the road on Dec. 1, at Portland. The Redhawks defeated the Pilots 61-58. Both Salena Dickerson and Daidra Brown scored in double digits in the contest.
Brown's Finding Her Groove: Sophomore transfer Daidra Brown has become a defensive spark plug for Seattle U. She's forced opponents to commit 10 turnovers in SU's last two games, bringing her season steal total to a team-leading 23. The Seattle native has seen action in all eight games, starting seven.
Christianson Adds Veteran Leadership to Starting Lineup: Senior Julee Christianson moved into the starting five for SU's last two contests. She provides experience on the floor and has helped SU swing momentum with clutch plays.
Fighting Hawks: Despite suffering a 66-57 defeat to Boise State, the Redhawks put together a valiant come-from-behind run versus the Broncos. After a rough first half, they chopped down a 28-point deficit in the second half to bring the game within seven. Their second half efforts fell short, but it was not due to lack of effort.
Kerfoot Named to All-Tournament Team: Co-captain and point guard Elle Kerfoot was the selected to the Seattle U Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team on Nov. 27, following her 30 point performance and helping guide SU to the championship game.
Seattle U Inks Three for 2011-12: Monique Abbs (Phoenix, Ariz.), Renee Dillard-Brown (Seattle, Wash.) and Kim Flournoy (San Diego, Calif.) will join the Seattle U women's team next season. This is the second recruiting class head coach Joan Bonvicini has signed since joining SU for the 2009-10 season.
Scouting Idaho: Idaho (6-2) heads to Seattle following 69-56 victory at home over Montana. Four Vandal players scored in double digits, including a 21-point off the bench performance by Rachele Kloke.
UI is 3-1 in their last four games and is led by senior Yinka Olorunnife's team-leading 13.3 ppg and 10 rpg. Kloke is the team's second top scorer with 10.5 ppg, leading the squad with her 51.4 percent shooting from the field.
Last Time Seattle U Faced Idaho: The Redhawks are 1-3 all-time versus the Vandals. In their last meeting on March 6, 1982 Seattle U fell 81-60.
Scouting UC Irvine: UC Irvine (5-3) is currently on a five-game winning streak. The Anteaters are coming off victories over Portland State, 75-61, on Dec. 4, and Pepperdine, 81-75, on Dec. 1.
UCI is lead by junior Mikah Maly-Karros, who is averaging a double-double with 19.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Jade Smith-Williams is the team's second top scorer with 14.1 ppg. The senior tallied 20 points in the Anteater's last win against Portland State. As a squad, UCI is averaging 66.8 points per game.
Last Time Seattle U Faced UC Irvine: The Redhawks will look to rebound from their one-point loss last year to the Anteaters at home. They fell 60-59 on Dec. 5, 2009 in Irvine, Calif. Tatiana Heck had a team-leading 16 points and Carley Butcher followed with 15.
