This Week for the Redhawks: The Seattle University women's basketball team will host the Seattle U Thanksgiving Tournament this week. The Redhawks (0-4) will open with Montana State (2-2) on Friday, Nov. 26, in an 8 p.m. contest. Also participating in the weekend tournament are Bowling Green and UALR, who will square off at 6 p.m. prior to SU's game versus MSU.

Seattle U will conclude the tournament on Saturday, Nov. 27, in either a 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. game. Game time and opponent are dependent on the results of their game versus Montana State.

Last Time Out: The Redhawks struggled on the road, as they dropped both contests in Southern California. A second half surge, where they scored 41 points, fell short as SU dropped a 65-56 decision at UC Riverside on Nov. 19. Two days later, Seattle U kept pace with San Diego in the first half, but an offensive surge from the Toreros in the second half put the Redhawks on their heels, as they fell 78-56 to USD.

On Deck: After a pair of games at home this week, the Redhawks will return to the road. They will head to Portland on Wednesday, Dec. 1, for a 7 p.m. game.

The Seattle U Thanksgiving Tournament: The Redhawks will host the Seattle U Thanksgiving Tournament this weekend. Participating in the two day tournament from Nov. 26-27, are Bowling Green, Montana State, Seattle U and UALR.

Looking to Bounce Back: The Redhawks are looking to get in the win column this weekend after suffering losses in their first four contests this season.

Kerfoot Leads Offense: Co-captain and point guard Elle Kerfoot led the SU offense with a combined 30 points at UC Riverside and San Diego this past weekend. She scored a season-high 19 points at UCR.

Sowell Makes Career First: Freshman Kacie Sowell moved into the starting lineup on Nov. 19, at UC Riverside. She led the team with seven boards. The following game at San Diego on Nov. 21, she made her second consecutive start tallying seven rebounds and scoring four points for the second game in a row.

She is averaging 6.3 points and a team-leading 8.5 boards this season.

Top Scorers: Junior Elle Kerfoot and senior Tatiana Heck are currently averaging double-figures this season. Kerfoot leads the team with 11 ppg, while Heck follows with 10.5 ppg.

Scouting Montana State: After falling in their first two games, Montana State (2-2) is currently riding a two-game winning streak. They outlasted FIU on Nov. 14, 58-57, and defeated Southern Utah 76-62 on Nov. 19, on the road.

On the season, MSU has four players scoring in double-digits, led by Lyndi Seidensticker's 16.5 ppg. Katie Bussey (15 ppg), Sarah Balian (12.5 ppg) and Chelsea Banis (10.8) round out their top scorers. Balin is also the team's top rebounder, with 8 rpg.

Last Time Seattle U Faced Montana State: The Redhawks are 2-2 all-time versus Montana State. SU last faced MSU on Jan. 4, 1984 where Seattle U suffered a 71-64 loss at home.
