This Week for the Redhawks: The Seattle University women's soccer team will host Cal State Bakersfield in their final match of the 2010 campaign. The Redhawks (10-6-2) will square off with the Roadrunners (4-8-5) in a 1 p.m. match on Saturday, Nov. 6. Prior to the game, SU will honor the careers of the graduating senior class.

Last Time Out: The Redhawks split results in their final road weekend of the season. In a thrilling double overtime contest they defeated the Roadrunners of CSUB 1-0 off a Carlee Norquist 106th minute goal. Two days later at Cal State Northridge, SU could not carry the momentum of their extra period win, as they fell 3-1. Freshman Julia Besagno scored her first career goal in the game.

What Woodward Says: "We are excited to be finally be back home after being on the road for the past few weeks. I hope that we can bounce back after our loss at Northridge. We'd like to send out the seniors and close out the season on a positive note this weekend," said head coach Julie Woodward.

Thanks for the Memories!: Seattle U will honor the graduating senior class of Sarah Dean, Nance Hill, Liz Homer and Kara Kuttler this weekend in their annual Senior Day ceremony prior to first kick versus Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m.

Playing at Home: The Redhawks currently are riding a 6-0 streak when at home.

Munechika Named to Academic All-Distric Team: Junior Lauren Munechika was selected to the CoSIDA ESPN Academic All-District Third Team, University Division District VIII. She boasts a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average and this is her first time receiving the honor.

Norquist Gets it Done: Sophomore Carlee Norquist made her first goal of the season a memorable one. She received a cross from Emma Levy, remained composed and sent in the game-winning goal in the 106th minute of double overtime at Cal State Bakersfield on Oct. 29.

No. 10 in the West: This week the Redhawks are No. 10 NSCAA West Regional Poll this week. They have been in the poll for a majority of the season, being ranked as high as No. 8.

Levy Scores and Assists: Sophomore transfer Emma Levy has made herself an impact player in the Redhawk lineup this season. Not only does she lead the team with six goals, but is also the team's assist leader with four dishes. She has 16 points on the season and has seen action in all 18 games played.

The Kuttler Counter: Senior captain Kara Kuttler continues to rise on the all-time Seattle U goal scorers list. She currently is ninth all-time with 24 career goals. Kuttler has four goals and a pair of assists for 10 points on the season.

Redhawk Invite Champs!: Behind a pair of victories and being the only team to go perfect at the Redhawk Invitational, the Seattle U women's soccer team earned their first NCAA DI tournament title since reclassifying back. Ava Ames was named tournament MVP, and Julia Besango, Monique Escalera and Emma Levy were named to the all-tournament team.

Overtime Minutes: Seattle U extended their unbeaten overtime streak to five this past weekend. They are 3-0-2 this year when playing extra minutes. All overtime contests this season have gone into double overtime, as well.

Scouting CSU Bakersfield: This will be the second time in an eight day span that the Redhawks will square off with the Roadrunners of Cal State Bakersfield. SU is coming off a double overtime 1-0 victory over CSUB, in a match played in Bakersfield, Calif.

CSU Bakersfield (4-8-5) currently is riding a four game losing streak, most recently dropping a 1-0 decision at Cal Poly to close out the month of October.

The squad is led by Sam Pena, who in 17 games has a team-leading six goals. Kassi Massey is the team's assist leader with three dishes in 17 games.

Defensively, Kym Gause has started and played in goal in 16 of Bakersfield's 17 contests this season. She is 3-8-4 on the season, with a 1.25 goals against average, 70 saves and three shutouts. She has allowed 22 goals in 1577:50 minutes of work. Jessica Montano has played in one game between the pipes. In 90 minutes of work, she helped guide CSUB to a shutout victory, behind four saves.

The Last Time Seattle U Faced CSU Bakersfield: The two programs last faced on Oct. 29, 2010 in Bakersfield, Calif. SU's Carlee Norquist scored the game-winner off an Emma Levy assist in the 106th minute of double overtime.
