The Seattle University women's basketball team will kick off the 2010-11 campaign this Saturday, Nov. 6, with an exhibition game versus the Academy of Art University. First tip is slated for 5 p.m. in the Connolly Center on the Seattle U campus.

The Redhawks return five veterans, including All-Independent Second Team Tatiana Heck (Lynnwood, Wash.), who looks to build on her 10.8 points per game in 2009-10. Joining the returners are six eligible newcomers, including a pair of redshirts from last season in sophomore Amani Butler (Corona, Calif.) and senior Salena Dickerson (Federal Way, Wash.).

This weekend's game will be the first preseason action for the Academy of Art Urban Knights. They return seven players, with three freshmen joining their squad this season. AAU currently competes at the NCAA Division II level.

Following their lone exhibition contest, SU will open the regular season at home with Cal Poly on Friday, Nov. 14, in a 7 p.m. game.
