Inclement weather and lightning delays forced the cancellation of the Seattle University women's soccer match at Cal Poly Sunday afternoon in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The Redhawks (9-4-1) and the Mustangs were only able to complete the first half before the game was called due to the weather. The match will be considered a no contest and will not be rescheduled.

Following the first half the Redhawks were leading 1-0, behind a Kara Kuttler (Redmond, Wash.) goal off a Kat Prati (Moorpark, Calif.) assist in the fifth minute. The weather suspended the game in the 12th minute of play, seeing a 34 minute delay. The game was cancelled heading into the second half after thunder and lightning commenced again in the region. Because the game is being considered a no contest, the first half statistics will not be credited to Kuttler and Prati.

Seattle University, who currently is No. 10 in the NSCAA West Region poll, will remain on the road. The Redhawks will look to extend their six game unbeaten streak as they head back to California for a match on Thursday, Oct. 21, at UC Santa Barbara. First kick is set for 7 p.m.
