Caitlin McCleary (The Dalles, Ore.) struggled in the final round, shooting 81 to finish the tournament in a tie for 19th place at 223 (+7). Shannon Quinn (Shoreline, Wash.) shot the team's best round of the day, posting a 75 to finish the three-day tournament in a tie for 65th place at 235 (+19).
Lori Pearson (Seattle, Wash.) finished the tournament in a tie for 71st place after a third-round 78 gave her a cumulative score of 240 (+24). Christine Cook (Yakima, Wash.) shot 87 on the final 18 holes and finished in 73rd place with a total score of 246 (+30), and Nicole Gaddie finished in 74th place with a final score of 250 (+34) after a final-round 81.
As a team, Seattle University finished the tournament with a cumulative score of 937 (+73). New Mexico State posted a third-round score of 286 to win the team title with a final score of 866 (+2), five strokes ahead of Baylor. A Baylor player did win the individual title, but it was not 18- and 36-hole leader Jaclyn Jansen, who fell into a tie for second place after shooting 74 Wednesday. Teammate Lene Hafsten-Morch shot 65 in the final round to win the individual title by five strokes at 209 (-7).
The Seattle University women's golf team will conclude the fall season by competing in the Lamkin Grip Invitational, hosted by Cal Poly in Arroyo Grande, Calif., Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 1-2.
