Amidst soccer practices, games and the start of the 2010-11 school year, the Seattle University women's soccer team took time to help one of their fans Corey Obungen. The 20 year old, who is a former football player at the University of Puget Sound, was injured in a swimming accident this past June leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Since the beginning of the 2010 season, the Redhawks have been selling raffle tickets to raise money to help Obungen with his medical bills.

This past weekend the Redhawks presented Obungen with a check for $800, which will go directly to help his family pay for medical treatments that are not covered by his insurance. If you would like to donate to Corey Obungen, please contact Madison Collins at collinsm@seattleu.edu.
