The Mountain Division took the conference's top three spots, with New Mexico leading the way in first place after reaching the NCAA Tournament in 2009. Sacramento State and Denver were voted to finish in second and third place, respectively, and rounding out the division is Air Force, who was voted to finish in eight place this year.
In the Pacific Division, CSU Bakersfield, who received a first place vote, was tabbed to finish in fourth place for the second consecutive year. Seattle U, who concluded last year with a 4-12-1 overall, 3-4 MPSF record, and the Roadrunners tied for fourth place in 2009. San Jose State (fifth place) and UNLV (seventh place) will also join the Redhawks in the division.
Seattle U will kick off the 2010 campaign with non-conference action at the SMU Invitational in Dallas, Texas. They will open with Tulsa on Saturday, Sept. 4, in a 3 p.m. PT match. The Redhawks will then take on tournament host Southern Methodist in an 11:30 a.m. PT contest on Monday, Sept. 6. MPSF action is set to commence on Sunday, Oct. 3, with CSU Bakersfield coming to Championship Field for a 2:30 p.m. PT game.
