Seniors Audree Jenks (Albuquerque, N.M.) and Whitney Cheng (Seattle, Wash.) won their doubles match in the number one position over Katharina Marsela and Ciara Schultz, 8-5. In singles, Jenks defeated Schultz in straight sets (6-1, 6-1), and Cheng pulled out a three-set victory over Megan Smedley (6-4, 2-6, 6-3).
In the number two doubles slot, Ariel Ohno (Kent, Wash.) and Steffanie Mortera (Portland, Ore.) teamed up to defeat Dorothy Chong and Samantha Teigen, 9-7. Ohno went on to defeat Chong in the number two singles position in straight sets (6-2, 7-5), while Mortera earned a straight set win over Elaine Lee (7-6, 6-0).
Seattle University (7-7) continues the road trip with two matches Saturday, April 3, first facing Montana in a neutral-site contest at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash., beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a match at Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash., at 4 p.m. The Redhawks will head back to Cheney for an Easter morning match against Eastern Washington starting at 9 a.m.
