The Seattle University men's tennis team could not overcome the depth of the University of Idaho, as the Vandals earned a 6-1 victory Saturday afternoon.

The lone SeattleU point came as a result of a victory in the number six singles match, as Yusuke Kanehira (Tokyo, Japan) recovered from losing the first set to win the second set in a tiebreaker and then defeat Jake Knox in a super-tiebreaker (4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-7). Kanehira won his second three-set match in as many days after earning one of the Redhawks' two points at Lewis-Clark State Friday.

Idaho (18-7) swept the doubles sets and proceeded to win five of the six singles matches, all in straight sets. This is the second victory for Idaho over SeattleU this season, with the Vandals posting a 6-1 win over the Redhawks on Feb. 7 in Eugene, Ore.

Seattle University (5-12) heads back across the state border into Washington for two matches Sunday, April 11, beginning with a morning match against Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. That will be followed by an afternoon match at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash.
