Seattle University softball pitcher Kelsey Reynolds (Kent, Wash.) was named Pacific Coast Softball Conference Pitcher of the Week for the Mountain Division. This is the first conference pitching honor the Redhawks have earned this season and the second PCSC recognition SU has received this season.

"This is a great honor for Kelsey and our program," said head coach Dan Powers. "Last week Kelsey pitched in three of our four games and did a great job coming in for relief, as well as starting. Heading into conference play this week she has been pitching very well and we expect good things to come in the final stretch of our season."

The SeattleU senior went 2-1 in three appearances, including two starts, to post a 1.54 ERA. In 13.2 innings pitched, she threw seven strikeouts to bring her season total to 26 on the year. She earned victories in the second game of SU's doubleheader versus South Dakota on Apr. 1. In the Redhawk's 7-5 win, she allowed only one run, while striking out three. Two days later, she posted her second consecutive victory, in SeattleU's 7-1 six inning win over Simon Fraser. In the outing, she tallied a pair of strikeouts.

On the year, Reynolds is 3-8 and has pitched in 65.0 innings. She holds a 5.17 ERA and in 20 total appearances, has four complete games and a save under her belt.

Reynolds and the Redhawks open up PCSC play this weekend with Idaho State in a four game series. SU will take on ISU on Saturday, Apr. 10, and Sunday, Apr. 11. First pitch is slated for noon and 10:30 a.m., respectively. This weekend's action will mark SeattleU's first competition as a member of a Division I conference.
