Powers' Take: "We are looking forward to hosting some games at home after spending the last two months on the road," said head coach Dan Powers. "We'll be battling the weather, as well as Simon Fraser and South Dakota. We are coming off a tough weekend of playing two Pac-10 schools, but we competed well against them. If we had a few extra hits with runners on we could have pulled off the upset."

"Freshmen Jessica Ulrich and Allegra Wilde have been hitting the ball well the last few weeks. Katie Antich has continued to have a great season at the plate as well. We are hoping to have a few more players get hot this weekend so we can start scoring some runs and getting more 'wins'," he continued.

"All three pitchers have thrown very well this month and our defense continues to improve as well. I believe we are beginning to hit our stride heading into conference play," concluded Powers.

Last Time Out: The Redhawks were unable to come home with a victory after their four game road swing in the state of Oregon. They opened up with then-No. 25 University of Oregon, on Mar. 25. After going down early to the Ducks, the Redhawks attempted a come-from-behind run in the sixth inning. Behind three runs, SU's late offensive run was not enough, as they fell 5-3 to the ranked-Oregon squad. In the final game of the doubleheader, SU's offense struggled as they fell 4-0 to the Ducks.

The following day, they took on the Oregon State Beavers in Corvallis. SeattleU fell 6-0 to OSU in the opening game of the doubleheader. In their final game of the day, the Beavers took an early 5-0 lead, but a fighting Redhawks squad attempted another come-from-behind run. They scored three runs in the sixth inning, but their offense was unable to garner enough momentum to take a run advantage.

Leading SU during the two day road trip, was freshman Jessica Ulrich who had a hit in all four games. She tallied four hits, two RBIs and a run.
