McCleary made the biggest move Tuesday, moving up 22 places from a tie for 37th place after the second round to 15th place at the end of the tournament. She led the team throughout the week, posting rounds of 78 and 77 on Monday and posting a cumulative score of 224 (+8).
Shannon Quinn (Shoreline, Wash.) and Lana Cox (San Clemente, Calif.) posted similar scores over the three rounds, with Quinn shooting rounds of 80, 80, and 84 for a cumulative score of 244 (+28) to finish in 63rd place, while Cox posted scores of 81, 80, and 84 to finish in a tie for 64th place at 245 (+29).
Christine Cook (Yakima, Wash.) finished in 66th place with a three-round score of 248 (+32) after rounds of 85, 81, and 82. Lori Pearson (Seattle, Wash.) shot rounds of 86, 85, and 81 to finish in a tie for 68th place with a final score of 252 (+36).
As a team, Seattle University posted scores of 324, 318, and 316 for a cumulative total of 958 (+94). UC Davis held the tournament lead throughout the two days, winning the team competition by two strokes over San Jose State. Cristina Corpus of San Jose State won the individual title after posting scores of 74, 69, and 71 for a three-round total of 214 (-2).
The Seattle University women's golf team will next head to Kane'ohe, O'ahu, in Hawaii for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 15-16.
