Seattle University softball player Katie Antich (Spokane, Wash.) was named to the Husky Softball Classic All-Tournament Team after a standout weekend. In four games played she hit .357 behind five hits, including a pair versus the top-ranked Huskies of the University of Washington.

"I am proud Katie was recognized for her outstanding play this weekend at the Husky Softball Classic," said head coach Dan Powers. "She was in the zone and our team fed off her energy this weekend."

Antich was a clutch performer for SeattleU, especially in their lone win versus new conference rival Portland State on Mar. 14. She tallied two hits, two runs, an RBI, a double and a triple in the game.

The outfielder posted three runs, two doubles, an RBI and a triple at the four game tournament. On the season, the Redhawk veteran is the only player to be hitting over .300 with a .345 batting average. In 19 straight starts, she's tallied 19 hits, 11 runs, three doubles, two RBIs and a triple.

Antich and the SeattleU softball team will resume action on Thursday, Mar. 25, with a doubleheader at the University of Oregon. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
