"It will be nice to play at home after being on the road for the first month," said head coach Dan Powers. "We are hoping to build off our positive momentum after playing a tight game in our finale last week in Hawai'i."
Last Time Out: The Redhawks (1-13) were unable to come home with a win at the Bank of Hawai'i Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i from March 6-8. At the three day tournament, SU faced No. 1 Washington twice, Hawai'i, who received votes towards a national ranking, and Eastern Carolina twice.
In their final game of the five game tournament, SU battled ECU to the wire, but were unable to close out on the Pirates 2-0 lead. Following three consecutive five inning contests, SeattleU battled hard in their final game of the weekend.
On the weekend, Jessica Amador was named to the Bank of Hawai'i All-Tournament Team, receiving the lone at-large bid. She tallied two hits, a double and a RBI at the invitational.

On Deck: SeattleU will travel to the University of Washington this weekend, Saturday, Mar. 13, to Sunday, Mar. 14, to participate in the Husky Softball Classic. SU will square off with No. 1 Washington twice, Miami (Ohio) and Portland State at the tournament.
Amador Earns All-Tournament Honors: Junior catcher Jessica Amador was named to the Bank of Hawai'i Invitational All-Tournament Team, following her performance at the five game tournament. She tallied a pair of hits, a RBI and a double at the three day invitational.
First Home Game of 2010: After playing their first 14 games on the road, SeattleU will finally open up the home half of the 2010 campaign. The Redhawks who have struggled to get in the win column this season, will look to snap their six game skid with Miami (Ohio).
Hernandez Goes Long Ball Against Top-Ranked Huskies: On Mar. 7, versus the No. 1 University of Washington Huskies, Redhawk senior Sandra Hernandez hit her second home run of the season. Her two run home run was the first SU has hit on the top-ranked team in the nation this season. SeattleU will face the Huskies two more times this weekend at the Husky Softball Classic.
Scouting the University of Miami (Ohio): The University of Miami (Ohio) travel to Seattle to square off with the Redhawks in a lone afternoon matchup. They head to the Emerald City with a 5-7 overall record. UM's offense is led by Kathryn Russette, who's hitting .333 in 12 straight starts. She's tallied 12 hits, five RBIs, four runs, a double and a triple. Sarah Billstrom is the only Miami player to have hit a long ball this season, with two.
On the mound, UM has seen four pitchers see time in the circle. Jessica Simpson has been the team's primary pitcher, with a 3-4 record a 2.10 ERA. In eight appearances, she's thrown three complete games and a shutout. With 43.1 innings pitched under her belt, she's thrown 33 strikeouts and allowed 33 hits.
