The Seattle University women's tennis team started its weekend road trip Friday, losing to the University of Idaho, 5-1, in the early afternoon at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow, Idaho, followed by a 7-0 loss to Washington State in the evening at the Simmelink Courts.

Ariel Ohno (Kent, Wash.) earned the only SeattleU point of the day, defeating Idaho's Silvia Irimescu in straight sets in the number two singles position (6-3, 6-0). Whitney Cheng (Seattle, Wash.) won the first set in her match against Yvette Ly of Idaho, but the match was stopped midway through the second set to give SeattleU time to travel to Pullman for the evening contest against Washington State.

Seattle University (2-4) stays in the eastern half of Washington Saturday, beginning the day in Cheney, Wash., with a match against Eastern Washington at 10 a.m. That will be followed by a late afternoon contest against Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash., starting at 4:30 p.m.
