Junior Chris Holway (Longview, Wash.), in his first tournament with the Seattle University squad, shot rounds of 74 and 75 for a two-day total of 149 (+5), good enough for a tie for 19th place individually. Holway earned seven birdies during the 36-hole tournament and was one under par on the par-4 holes.
Kris Jackson (Snohomish, Wash.) followed a first-day 77 with a 74 in the second round, the lowest score for a SeattleU golfer, to finish in a tie for 29th place at 151 (+7). Jackson was tied for third among all golfers with 25 pars over the two-day tournament.
Ian Dahl (Longview, Wash.) put together rounds of 75 and 83 for a two-day total of 158 (+14) to finish in 60th place. Preston Matchett (Billings, Mont.) carded one of the eight eagles in the two rounds and finished in a tie for 64th place after rounds of 87 and 76 for a cumulative score of 163 (+19). Sam Bell (Park City, Utah) finished in 69th place with rounds of 86 and 83 for a two-day total of 169 (+25).
As a team, Seattle University shot rounds of 312 and 308 for a final score of 620 (+44), 44 strokes behind team champion College of Charleston. Harrison Moore of College of Charleston won the individual title after following a 70 with a tournament-low 68 for a two-day score of 138 (-6) and a three-stroke victory.
The Seattle University men's golf team is next in action Feb. 22-23 at the Cal State Bakersfield Invitational I, held at the Seven Oaks Country Club in Bakersfield, Calif.
