Up Next for the Redhawks: The Seattle University women's basketball team will host the University of South Dakota (8-10 overall, 2-3 Great West) on Saturday, Feb. 6. The game will mark SU's Pink Zone game, where the Redhawks will work to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention, in conjunction with Kay Yow Foundation and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Last Time Out: The Redhawks (4-20) attempted another come-from-behind upset on the road, but a late scoring run by Eastern Washington handed SU a 67-50 loss in Cheney, Wash.

Tatiana Heck scored in double-figures for the sixth straight contest, leading with 15 points. Elle Kerfoot tallied a team-best six defensive boards and Cassidy Murillo had a team-leading five assists.

On Deck: SU will take to the road for a lone contest in California next week. It will be the fifth time SeattleU will travel to the Golden State this season, as they will take on Cal State Northridge on Wednesday, Feb. 10, in a 7 p.m. contest.

Six in a Row: Junior Tatiana Heck has scored in double-digits in her last six outings for the Redhawks. Most recently she is coming off a 15 point performance, which led SU's offense, at Eastern Washington on Feb. 3.

This season the center is averaging just under 10 points per game (9.8) in 29.7 minutes. She has seen action in all 24 contests this year, starting all but one.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles: The Redhawks will play their first home game in the month of February this weekend, as they have been on the road for nine of their last 11 contests. SeattleU has played in four different states during that time span, traveling to California, both North and South Dakota, and in Washington

Murillo Continues to be Dish Leader: Senior Cassidy Murillo led the Redhawks with five assists at Eastern Washington on Feb. 3, to bring here season total to 111. On the year, the Yakima, Wash. native is averaging 4.6 dishes per game.

Scouting University of South Dakota: This will be the second meeting between the Coyotes of the University of South Dakota (8-10 overall, 2-3 Great West) and the Redhawks this Saturday. SeattleU currently is 3-1 all-time versus USD, suffering their first loss to South Dakota earlier this season in Vermillion. They fell 67-53 on Jan. 10.

Heading into Saturday's game, the Coyotes are led by Amber Hegge, who is averaging 12.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game to lead the team. Also averaging double-figure points are Abby Kinder (11.1) and Annie Roche (10.1).

USD will play their sixth straight game on the road at Seattle this weekend. They are riding a two-game slid on, where they lost by four points or less in both contests. On Jan. 28, at Houston Baptist, they fell 74-70 in overtime, and dropped a 60-57 decision two days later at Texas-Pan American.

At UTPA, Kinder scored 19 points, Hegge scored 13 and Kara Iverson had 11 in the effort.

Game 25 Recap - Eastern Washington

Feb. 3, 2010 - L 50-67

The Seattle University women's basketball team's second half efforts were not enough as the Redhawks fell Wednesday evening 67-50 at Eastern Washington. After a much more composed second period of play and cutting a once 21 point Eagle lead, SU was unable to complete their game turnaround to come home with their first road win of the year. With the loss, SeattleU falls to 4-20 on the year, while Eastern improves to 14-7 on the season.

Tatiana Heck led the offense with 15 points, for her sixth straight game in double-figures. Elle Kerfoot added seven boards and Cassidy Murillo had a team-leading five assists.
