Ariel Ohno (Kent, Wash.) was competitive against Christine Molina in the number one singles slot before falling in straight sets (7-5, 6-4), as was Whitney Cheng (Seattle, Wash.) in the number five singles position against Sarah Cassman before she lost in straight sets (6-4, 7-5).
Tahlia Smoke defeated Audree Jenks (Albuquerque, N.M.) in the number three singles position in straight sets (6-1, 6-0), Melissa Cecil was victorious over Nicole Fleckenstein (Seattle, Wash.) in the number four singles slot (6-1, 6-1), and Katrina Eromin earned a straight-set win over Steffanie Mortera (Portland, Ore.) in the number six singles position (6-1, 6-4).
Air Force (1-0) also swept the doubles sets, with Cecil joining Hannah Dake in defeating Fleckenstein and Jenks in the number one position, 8-6, Allie Chermel combining with Eromin in earning an 8-4 victory over Ohno and Mortera in the number two position, and Molina and Monreal defeating Schwab and Mikaela Peterson (Spokane, Wash.) in the number three slot, 8-3.
