Seattle University head men's golf coach Don Rasmussen has announced that three student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent during the recent early signing period to attend the University and join the SeattleU golf program beginning in the 2010-11 academic year.

Justin Haase (Spokane, Wash.) has been a top performer while attending Lewis and Clark High School. A fully-exempt member of the American Junior Golf Association during the 2008-09 season, he was a member of the 2009 Junior Americas Cup team and qualified for the 2009 Junior World Championship.

Sean McMullen (Kent, Wash.) was the 2009 SPSL Co-Player of the Year while playing for Kentridge High School. He has finished in the top ten in every IJGT tournament he has participated in, including two top-five performances. McMullen is also a two-time all-league performer.

Paul Pavlos (Woodinville, Wash.) will join the Redhawk golf program after spending the past two years at Bellevue College. In 2009, he finished in fifth place at the Northwest Open Invitational held at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland, Wash. He also participated in the Snohomish County Amateur tournament at Legion Memorial Golf Course and Cedarcrest Golf Course.

" This class of recruits includes young men who can step in and make an impact on the team immediately. Every member of this class turned down great opportunities to play at other schools. I think that is a testament to what is happening with our program. We are definitely headed in the right direction and potential student-athletes are recognizing that," Rasmussen said.

These three will join a team of experienced golfers, as everyone on the current roster is eligible to return next season. The Seattle University men's golf team will play in tournaments hosted by Southern Utah, Cal State Bakersfield, and Wyoming during the 2010 spring season.
