In the final game of the Aztec Classic, the Seattle University women's soccer team was shutout 2-0 by tournament host San Diego State Sunday afternoon at the SDSU Sports Deck. The Redhawks fall to 5-8-1 on the season, while the Aztecs improve to 7-3-3.

SDSU, who scored in both halves of the game, outshot SU 11-7, but the Redhawks landed four shots on goal to the Aztecs three. Junior Kara Kuttler tallied four shots in the game, including one on goal, and seniors Jamie Coe and M'ily Reiter each tacked on shots on goal, as well.

Returning to the starting lineup was midfielder Kassandra Riozzi. It was the Redhawk sophomore's first start since Sept. 11. Riozzi had one shot on goal in the game.

SU returns to Seattle to host their final home contest of the 2009 season. The Redhawks will square off with Washington State on Sunday, Oct. 11, in a contest at noon. Prior to the game the SeattleU women's soccer team will honor the careers of the graduating senior class.
