The WNBA's Seattle Storm's head coach Brian Agler will join Seattle University head women's basketball coach Joan Bonvicini to host a free coaches clinic on Sunday, Nov. 1. The clinic will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Connolly Center on the SeattleU campus.

Agler, who will speak on offensive actions, boasts consecutive over 20 win seasons with the Storm, and is one of six individuals to present on the day.

Joining Agler and Bonvicini at the fall clinic are: Jamie Angeli, assistant SeattleU women's basketball coach, and Chris Bown, a former coordinator of individual player development for the Storm. Rounding out the day's speakers are Cathy Crosslin, founder of Instar Performances, and Ernie Woods, who holds the best winning record in Washington State community college history.

The clinic will cover all aspects of coaching basketball, including scramble defense, concepts and fundamentals of defense, the Princeton Series continuity offense, and individual skill and development drills. In addition to on the court training, Crosslin will speak to all in attendance about the fundamentals of team building and enhancing ones performance, among other topics.

After a day chalk full of instruction and tips on coaching offenses, defenses and implementing drills, all coaches will be able to watch a full Redhawk women's team practice to close out the day.

"Our program is excited to be able to offer a free fall coaching clinic to all area boys and girls basketball coaches," said Bonvicini. "We have a great lineup of speakers presenting on various topics and have also included a full women's team practice at the conclusion of the clinic. We hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to pick up some new ideas on offense, defense and drills before the start of the season."
