The Pitcher/Catcher Showcase Camp for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors will take place Nov. 20-22 at the Connolly Center at Seattle University. The camp allows student-athletes to come and learn new cutting edge pitching and catching techniques, while also obtaining skills from college coaches and professional scouts.
Both pitchers and catchers will receive information packets, attend seminars from guest instructors and get personal evaluations on how to improve their ability to have success on the field and off. The uniqueness of the camp is that instructors from colleges of all levels will be represented. The coaches from the various colleges and the professional scouts team up with the SeattleU staff to take part in the learning process.
The second annual Pressure Offense Camp will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. each day at the Seattle University Connolly Center. The camp will allow for athletes ages 15-18 an opportunity to learn and develop their offensive talents in hitting, bunting and base running in an instructional camp setting.
Campers will have an opportunity to learn from the SeattleU staff and other college coaches, along with professional scouts, about the ways to become a "complete offensive player." Hitting stations, bunting stations and base running stations will provide each camper with the physical repetition to increase their skill level. A classroom setting will provide for the mental training that goes into becoming a better offensive weapon in baseball.
Online registration for both camps is currently open by going to the Camps section of the Seattle University athletics website (www.goseattleu.com). Any further questions on either camp can be answered by calling Cam Harrel at 425-273-4550.
