Last Time Out: The Redhawks are rebounding from two firsts on the season, a double overtime draw at Portland State on Sept. 22, and their lone loss at home to the University of San Francisco on Sept. 27.
Against PSU, Kara Kuttler scored her sixth goal of the season to take a first half SU lead. With less than 10 minutes in regulation the Vikings scored the equalizing goal and sent the game into overtime. Despite firing off solid on-target shots, the game concluded after two additional 10 minute periods.
Versus USF five days later, the Redhawks misread the Don offense and allowed in the game-deciding goal after 81 scoreless minutes. Seattle was the more dominate team and had 14 shots on goal to San Francisco's six. Kuttler once again had a standout game, with five shots on the day.
On Deck: SeattleU closes out the home-half of the 2009 schedule on Sunday, Oct. 11. The Redhawks host Pac-10 team Washington State in a contest slated for noon at Championship Field.
Coach Woodward's Take: "We are excited to get on the road," said head coach Julie Woodward. "We had a good practice and were able to improve on things. We will face good competition in these two teams and hopefully we can have good results this weekend."

Scouting UNLV: The Rebels of UNLV head west after a 2-0 shutout over Southern Utah on Sept. 26, after going 0-2-3 in their previous five outings.
The Nevada-based squad is 3-3-4 on the season are lead by Shannon Hughes, who in 10 games played, has two goals. Dani Morin is the team's assist leader, with two, in nine games played. In goal, Alicia Lugo has played in all 10 games this season and is UNLV's only active 'keeper. She posts a 0.82 goals against average, 53 saves, four shutouts and nine goals against.
Scouting San Diego State: San Diego State (6-3-2) enters their tournament riding a three game win streak, including an overtime 2-1 victory versus UC Irvine on Sept. 27. The Aztecs three losses this season have come at the hands of CS Northridge, then-No. 4 Stanford and an overtime loss at Arizona State.
Leading the SDSU attack is Cat Walker, who in 11 games has four goals and two assists. Following Walker is Jessica Gordon who is the team's assist leader with three. She also has two goals on the season. Between the posts, Aubree Southwick holds a 1.22 goals against average, with 39 saves and four shutouts. She has allowed 14 goals this season.
The Aztec Classic: The Redhawks head to San Diego, Calif. to participate in the San Diego State hosted Aztec Classic. Participating in the two-day tournament are Oregon State, UNLV, host SDSU and SeattleU. SU will not play Oregon State.
Kuttler Leads Offense: Junior Kara Kuttler is having a breakout season in 2009. She leads SeattleU with six goals, including a game-winner, and two assists for 14 points. She has scored in three of the Redhawks last four contests.
In addition to being SeattleU's top scorer, she has been the biggest offensive threat. She has fired off 41 shots and has 23 on goal.
On the Road...Again: The Redhawks hit the road for their seventh road contest of the season. They head to the Golden State to participate in the Aztec Classic from Friday, Oct. 2, to Sunday, Oct. 4.
Looking to Get Back into the Win Column: SeattleU has faced a tough skid in the schedule, as they have only been able to come away with a lone win and a double overtime tie time in their last seven games.
The Redhawks kicked off the season with back-to-back shutouts and winning four of their first five games.
