The Seattle University women's soccer program has announced that Katie Hultin will join the team as the volunteer assistant goalkeeping coach.
During the fall, Hultin will be responsible for training the SeattleU goalkeeping staff individually and at team training sessions. She will also design and implement a training program for the SU 'keepers to maintain their fitness and continue to improve in the off-season.
"Katie will be in charge of our goalkeeper training right from the start," said head coach Julie Woodward. "She has had such a successful playing and coaching career; we feel lucky to add her to our staff. I know that our current and incoming 'keepers are going to be pushed to reach their potential. We are adding a great person to our soccer family!"

During that time, she was a three-time All-Pacific 10 honoree, and Washington State's team MVP in 2004 and Most Inspirational from 2003-05. Hultin helped lead the Cougar's to the NCAA Tournament in 2003, and was recognized twice by both Soccer America and Soccer Buzz as a member of their respective team's of the week in 2004 and 2005.
Her playing experience also includes professional stints with the W-Leagues Arizona Heatwave, Mile High Mustangs and most recently the Seattle Sounders. She also participated in the 2009 WPS preseason. The Denver, Colo. native also boasts Olympic Development experience, as she was a member of the Colorado State team from 1997-2001.
Hultin currently is an assistant coach for FC Alliance 1993 Premier team, and the girls 93's and 94's Washington State Olympic Development Program. In addition to coaching, she is a district sales leader for Frito Lay.
"I am honored and thrilled to be joining the SU soccer family," said Hultin. "I am so excited to be working with such a great coaching staff that has built a great program. I cannot wait to get the season rolling!"
