Harper comes to Seattle University from Disney's Wide World of Sports, where he spent the last year as a sales associate on the Disney Sports premium sales team. While at Disney, Harper worked on numerous projects including: managing season and group ticket accounts for the 2009 Atlanta Braves spring training season, managing sales campaigns for the ESPN Rise Games, and serving as the Disney liaison for ESPN Emerging Technologies testing done at Disney's Wide World of Sports.
Prior to working for Disney Sports, Harper was a graduate assistant in the Florida State University athletic ticket office, where he gained experience in season ticket renewal campaigns, ticket selection, and allocation and game day operations associated with ticketing. While attending Old Dominion University, Harper was a special events intern at the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, working closely with their 2006 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend, and also served as an event management intern within the Old Dominion University athletic department.
"We are thrilled to have Matt as our new coordinator of ticket operations here in the SeattleU athletic department," Josh Cooprider, assistant athletic director for marketing and external relations, said. "Matt has a great background working at both Disney Sports and the Florida State ticketing department. Matt has a passion for collegiate ticketing and is excited to build our fan base for our Division I programs moving forward."
Harper graduated with his Bachelor's of Science in sport management from Old Dominion University and earned his Master's of Education in sport administration from The Florida State University. Harper also spent two years at Guilford College where he was a member of the Guilford College baseball team.
