The track team took part in the Oregon Relays Friday and Saturday at Hayward Field on the campus of the .
The top performance for the men’s team was Daniel Sullivan () who placed second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.02. In the 200 meters, Zach Stanfield (, ) placed third with a time of 22.58, while Tom Mezzera () posted a tenth place finish in the 400 meters (49.21).
Erik Barkhaus (, Wisc.) had a great ninth place finish in the 5000 meters, turning in a time of 14.56.84. In the 4x100, the team of Jim Mezzera (), Stanfield, Sullivan, and T. Mezzera, placed 6th in a time of 42.91. The quartet paired up again in the 4x400 relay to place 12th overall with a time of 3:26.27.
On the women’s side, the 4x400 meter relay team of Rachel Purcell (, ), Elizabeth Wolf (, ), Rachel Vranizan (, ), and Clare Obradovich () placed second in their section and fourth overall with a time of 4.03.11. In the 4x100 meter relay, Obradovich, Purcell, Wolf, and Alyssa Lout () turned in a time of 49.71, finishing in fifth place.
