The Seattle University baseball program invites current supporters as well as those with an interest in supporting SU baseball or athletics in general to the "Spring Swing", taking place Friday, April 24 at the Glen Acres Golf and Country Club beginning at 4 p.m.

Join head coach Donny Harrel and fellow supporters of the SeattleU baseball program for a round of golf followed by dinner and beverages at Glen Acres, located at 1000 South 112th Street in Seattle. Those not interested in playing golf are still invited to come for the evening social, which is scheduled to begin at approximately 7 p.m. in Glen Acres' conference room on site.

"We are looking to increase our recruiting budget for the spring, including making a purchase of the Scoutware recruiting software," Harrel said. "This event gives us an opportunity to raise some money for the program and also meet people who have an interest in baseball and/or Seattle University."

Those interested can reserve a spot by either calling Coach Harrel at (206) 398-4399 or e-mailing him at harreld@seattleu.edu. There are 72 spots (18 foursomes) available for golf, and the organizers would like to have those foursomes set by Monday, April 20. Those interested in coming for just the dinner and social should contact Coach Harrel at the number above so he can give the club an accurate count for catering purposes.

The Seattle University baseball program will resume competition in spring 2010 after a 25-year hiatus and will join the rest of the athletic department in the reclassification process towards NCAA Division I status.
