On Senior Day, fourth-year players Megan Price ( Way, ) and Kahlyn Keilty-Lucas (, ) figured into the scoring as scored three first-half goals on its way to a 3-1 victory over ’s in women’s soccer action Sunday afternoon on a muddy Championship Field.

With 12 minutes gone in the match, Kassandra Riozzi (, ) sent a corner kick into the box, but Saint Martin’s temporarily stopped the offense. Kara Kuttler () collected the ball, sent a pass to Keilty-Lucas, who directed it into the goalmouth. Jamie Coe () redirected the ball with her head into the net for her 11th goal of the season, with Keilty-Lucas and Kuttler receiving the assists.

continued to pressure the Saint Martin’s defense, as shots by Keilty-Lucas, Coe, and Megan Fogarty () midway through the first half all needed to be turned away by Saint goalie Ashley Engel. With less than eight minutes remaining before halftime, Price set up Pfeiffer Bloecker (), who sent a shot into the lower right corner of the net for her third goal of the season.

With 2:03 left in the first half, Bloecker was fouled by Engel in the box, setting up a penalty kick opportunity for . Price converted on the penalty kick for her first goal of the season, increasing the Redhawk lead to 3-0. had more chances in the second half, but the Saint defense helped Engel keep the ball out of the net with two team saves.

’s (6-11-2) broke the shutout 12 minutes into the second half, as Jill Jensen sent a corner kick into the box and Kayci Donatelli headed the ball into the net for her fifth goal of the season. goalie Madison Goverde (, ) was credited with one save as eight of ’s ten shots were off target, while Engel finished with nine saves for the visitors.

Before the match, Maryann Boddy (), Madison Collins (Boise, Idaho), Fogarty, Keilty-Lucas, Maria Madeira (Canby, Ore.), and Price were honored for their contributions to the program. Over the past four years, Seattle University has posted a 57-16-8 record with the 2006 GNAC title, two appearances in the NCAA Division II Tournament, and a successful transition this season into Division I competition.

The women’s soccer team finishes the 2008 season with a 12-5-3 record, including a 10-5-3 mark against Division I schools, defeating teams from the West Coast Conference, the Western Athletic Conference, the Big Sky Conference, and the Summit League. The top four scorers from this season (Coe, Kuttler, Riozzi, Bloecker) are eligible to return next season, as are three members of the starting defense (Kate Edstrom, Nance Hill, Jordan Salisbury) and Goverde, who played every second of every match in net for the Redhawks in 2008.
