Thanks to the solid hitting of All-Tournament honorees Libby Graff (, ) and Kaytlyn Dill (), the Seattle University volleyball team swept Bryant University, 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-11) to win the Dig For The Cure Classic held over the weekend at the Connolly Center.

Dill led all players with 15 kills and six service aces, plus she earned five defensive digs and posted a .412 hitting percentage by making only one attack error in 34 attempts. Meanwhile, Graff notched 12 kills and two total blocks, making only two attack errors in 24 attempts for a .417 hitting percentage. As a team, earned 44 kills with only ten attack errors for a .304 hitting percentage.

decided to employ the substitution system that always kept a setter in the back row and three hitters in the front. Jamie Mellies (, ) finished with 20 assists, three service aces, and nine digs, while Megan Augustavo (Shoreline, ) collected 14 assists and eight digs in the match. Cristin Richards (, ) contributed six kills and nine digs, and Shelly Anderson () added three assists and a team-high 12 digs to the winning effort.

(13-12) was led by Maria Scocca and Jazmin Stoner, who each earned seven kills in the match. Libero Delia Glover, named to the All-Tournament Team, led all players with 14 digs, while Maureen Atkins had 11 digs and Stoner collected ten digs during the match. For the weekend, Glover earned 45 defensive digs, an average of five digs per set.

Graff and Dill were two of the major reasons why was able to win all three matches over the weekend. Dill led with 45 kills, plus she had 26 digs, seven service aces, and five total blocks. Graff continued to show the senior leadership the team needs with 31 kills, 14 digs, and ten total blocks, including two solo blocks.

Also named to the All-Tournament Team were Amber Kobus and Kathleen Hruska of and Lindsay Vortherms of . Hruska led all players with 68 kills, plus she was effective in her attack attempts, posting a .441 hitting percentage for the weekend. Kobus notched 68 digs over the three matches, while Vortherms finished with 60 digs for the weekend.

In Sunday’s earlier match, (17-2) swept , 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-20), behind 17 kills, eight digs, and four blocks by Hruska and 21 digs and three service aces by Kobus. Scocca and Hilary Andrews led the Bulldogs with eight kills each, while Glover led the defense with 19 digs.

(7-13) will take its four-match winning streak to the Southeast next weekend, facing on Friday, Oct. 17, on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Savannah State on Sunday, Oct. 19. The Redhawks’ next home match is Saturday, Oct. 25, against Cal State Bakersfield beginning at 7 p.m. at the .
