Kara Kuttler (, ) earned a goal and an assist and Madison Goverde (, ) picked up six saves to help the women’s soccer team defeat the , 2-1, Friday evening at Negoesco Stadium.

jumped on the board midway through the first half as Kuttler fed the ball to Jamie Coe (), who collided with USF goalie Kelly Pohle but recovered quickly and pushed the ball into the right corner of the net. It was Coe’s team-leading sixth goal of the season, while Kuttler earned her third assist of the year.

After both Pohle and Goverde made three saves each in the first 14 minutes of the second half, the Redhawks added an insurance goal as Kuttler, a victim of two of those saves, sent a shot from eight feet out into the left corner of the net for her third goal of the year. kept the pressure on, as Coe and Kuttler each took shots in the next ten minutes to help the visitors earn a 15-9 shot advantage.

(5-6-2) would break the shutout as Alyssa Simbahon sent a corner kick to Lauren Maris, who touched it towards Molly Hall.
