The women’s golf team finished fifth as play concluded in the ’s Women’s Golf Invitational Friday at the Tumwater Valley Golf Club.
’s best second-round score was posted by Kelsey Johnson (), who shot an 86. Dianne Alcantara () shot an 88 in the second round as both Johnson and Alcantara finished the tournament in a tie for 19th place with a two-round score of 171. Michelle Grome (, ) and Caitlin McCleary () each posted two-day totals of 181 to finish in a tie for 23rd place.
Paced by individual winner Kaitlin Parker’s 150, won the team competition with a two-day total of 619, seven strokes ahead of West Texas A&M.
After a couple of days off, the women’s golf team heads right back out to the course at the Western Washington Women’s Golf Invitational at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club on Oct. 13-14.
