Commitment to Service
As a in the Jesuit tradition, service to others is a fundamental part of a student-athlete’s education. Student-athletes are provided with many opportunities to serve the campus and the greater community to help those in need through a variety of projects.
? Team Service ? Each athletic team commits to at least one service project per year. The following is a list of some of the projects teams have participated in:
? Rotary Boys and Girls Club ? Athletics have established a unique relationship with the Rotary Boys and Club, which is located a few blocks from . Student-Athletes are involved with Rotary either as individuals or as a team. The following is a list of some of the team projects student-athletes have participated in:
o toy drive
o Spring field day
o Thursday sport clinics for girls
? Make-A-Wish Faculty/Staff vs. Student-Athlete Basketball Game ? This annual event is organized by the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and engages the entire campus and surrounding community in raising money for the Make-A-Wish organization.
