After Tuesday's practice, the Seattle University men's basketball team participated in quad rugby along with the Seattle Wheelchair Rugby Association, or Seattle Slam, as both teams prepared to take the North Court Thursday evening.

Several of the men's basketball players climbed into the specially-made wheelchairs and learned the rules of the sport of quad rugby as they were playing. The men's hoop team seemed to get the hang of the game offensively, but the defense was no match for the speed and agility of the Seattle Slam players present during the half-hour demonstration.

Thursday beginning at 5 p.m., the Slam presented the sport of quad rugby to the university community. The first eight minutes were an intrasquad scrimmage to give everyone an idea of how the game is played. Then, every four minutes, four members of the Seattle University community joined four players from the Seattle Slam on the court and played a quick game, with the crowd cheering and laughing and having a good time.
