The first 30 minutes of Thursday night’s men’s basketball game were even, but ninth-ranked Alaska Anchorage scored eight unanswered points midway through the second half and held on for a 45-38 victory over in GNAC action at the .

After a Leigh Swanson () foul shot tied the game at 25-25 with 9:39 remaining in regulation, McCade Olsen got to the free throw line twice for the Seawolves, going 2-of-4 in those trips. He followed a SeattleU turnover with a layup, and then he hit a jumper with 5:26 left to give Alaska Anchorage a 33-25 lead.

Ryan Coldren (, ) made four straight free throws, and Shaun Burl () converted a turnover into a fast break layup to bring SeattleU within two with just over four minutes remaining. Arts earned a double-double for Alaska Anchorage (15-3, 6-0 GNAC), scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Bryant scored 11 points, while Olsen contributed seven points and six rebounds. Cooper, the national leader in assists with 8.8 assists per game, finished with two points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the low-scoring contest. The Seawolves shot 35.0 percent (14-of-40) from the field and 70.0 percent (14-of-20) from the free throw line.
