The men’s basketball team used a big second half run to pull away and blowout a team of SeattleU alumni, 104-47 at the on Saturday night.

The Redhawks trailed early in the game with the alumni’s last lead at 21-20. then picked up their defensive intensity to go on a 23-0 run on the way to the rout.

Michael Wright (, ) recorded a double-double for , scoring ten points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Michael Knight (, ) led in scoring with 14 points on 6-8 shooting.

Overall shot 66.1 percent (41-62) from the field for the game, including 52.6 percent (10-19) from behind the 3-point line. Defensively, held the Alumni to just 22.4 percent (13-58) shooting and forced 22 turnovers.

Brian Johnson led the alumni team with 14 points and was the only player in double figures for the former Redhawks. Current assistant coach Sam Kirby scored nine points.

The Redhawks next travel to , to take part in the Lawrence R. DeBeni tournament next weekend on the campus of . First, they will take on on Friday, December 21 at 5:30 p.m., followed by the host Lumberjacks on Saturday, December 22 at 7:30 p.m.
