Seattle Men’s Basketball to attend Family Health Kidney Expo
Members of the SU Men’s Basketball team and SU Cheer Squad join local celebrities and sports mascots at Kidney Disease Informational Expo
Several members of the Seattle University Men’s Basketball team and Seattle University Cheer Squad will attend the Family and Health Kidney Expo on Saturday, October 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Qwest Field Club Level.
The full event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will include local celebrities and sports mascots, including the Mariner Moose, Squatch, and Blitz. The event is designed to raise awareness of kidney disease and act as an informational guide. There will be free health screenings, informational booths, as well as meeting some celebrities.
The men’s basketball team will return to the Saturday afternoon to prepare for their season opening exhibition game at 7:00 p.m. against the Washington Athletic Club. The game will be their only tune-up before heading to , to face the on Nov. 3 in an exhibition game to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1958 National Championship game between the two schools.
