Sean Rawson (, ) sent a pass into the box that eluded the defense and found John Fishbaugher (, ), who converted on his second goal of the season to help the 21st-ranked men’s soccer team defeat Western Washington, 1-0, Monday night at Orca Field on the campus.

Rawson’s pass was a cross from the left side that slid past a couple of Viking defenders. Fishbaugher’s shot came from five yards out and was his first goal since the opening match of the year against . Rawson has now assisted on two of ’s last three goals this year.

goalie Emerson DeOliveira () made two saves in the first half and picked up his third shutout of the season, improving his season record to 4-1 and lowering his goals against average to 0.60. Western Washington goalie Michael Lockwood was challenged all night, making six saves as outshot 19-7.

has now played in four consecutive matches in which the final score was 1-0, winning three of those contests. After scoring seven goals in the first three matches of the year, the Redhawks have been limited to three goals in the last five matches, but they have held their opponents to the same number of goals.
