Welp! They came back. At least, that was what was said on their t-shirts as the legends of Seattle University Volleyball past returned to North Court Aug. 18 to face the 2007 volleyball team.

The volleyball alumni were led by Melissa Mulick, Sarah Sommerman and the Safranski sisters, all coached by Steve Nimmocks, former SU head coach. Current SU head coach Shannon Ellis showed off her 2007 volleyball squad in a fun match that really didn't keep score, even though some of the alumni might have.

Some of the highlights included SU volleyball assistant coach Joe Baleto's interesting referee style, a sighting of a three game baby on the court, and a new volleyball net, pads and chairs on the North Court.

By the end of the match, everyone was exhausted but thrilled to have played.

The 2007 Seattle University volleyball team opens their home season Aug. 29 against Northwest University.
