Athletics Advancement & Donor Relations

Job Description: 

  • Ability to use problem-solving and ethical decision-making skills daily, in line with NCAA Compliance to provide service to internal and external constituents.
  • Lead and manage all athletics hospitality events
  • Work with athletic development staff in coordinating and implementing the renewal and stewardship efforts with annual fund donors.
  • Assist development team on special event planning and execution.
  • Assist in tracking and securing revenues derived from event registration and auctions.
  • Plan and execute annual and team fund campaign.
  • Organize donor related correspondence.
  • Coordinate volunteers for special events, fundraising campaigns, and other department functions.
  • Research donor leads and develop prospect lists in concert with ticket sales campaigns.
  • Maintain and update lists to include Key Donors, Donor parking list and Hall of Fame list.
  • Promote a strong, positive, and professional atmosphere consistent with the mission of Seattle University, Department of Athletics, West Coast Conference and NCAA.

Communications Graduate Assistant

Job Description: 

  • Serve as the primary media contact for select sports with duties to include writing press releases and features stories; in-game statistics, statistics compilation and reporting; maintaining the Seattle U Athletics website; contributing to the Seattle U Athletics social media platforms.
  • Assist in the development of special interest stories and content.
  • Assist in the promotion and coverage of the department’s special events.
  • Assist with game-day operations and special event operations and other duties as assigned.

Compliance/Academic Services Graduate Assistant

Job Description: 

  • Provide excellent customer service to coaches and staff, prospective and current student-athletes in matters concerning NCAA and West Coast Conference Compliance.
  • Monitor, review and approve official visit requests, athletic aid agreement requests, and CARA activity logs.
  • Generate and distribute athletic aid agreements in JumpForward, and register signed agreements in the NCAA Eligibility Center and/or the Transfer Portal.
  • Track and monitor incoming student status in the NCAA Eligibility Center.
  • Maintain and update rosters and profiles, and monitor the distribution and completion of digital compliance forms in JumpForward.
  • Liaison between coaches and ticketing/gameday staff for complimentary tickets for student-athletes and prospects.
  • Assist in designing and implementing NCAA Rules Education content and programs.
  • Serve as a member of the academic eligibility certification committee.
  • Provide regular and ongoing one-on-one academic support guidance to a specific group of student athletes (likely 6-8 students per term), assisting the students with topics such as time management, course work planning, and resource utilization.
  • Assist in creating and distribute class absence letters and calendars each term for applicable.

Marketing and Promotions Graduate Assistant

Job Description: 

  • Plan and execute marketing and promotional plans for three to four sports.
  • Provide group ticket sales support (particularly Women's Basketball).
  • Assist in executing the fulfillment of the corporate/game sponsorship agreements and manage all in-game elements and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with game management staff on marketing and promotional efforts for games including scheduling halftime acts, ball kids, national anthem and color guard talent.
  • Collaborate with the athletics ticketing and development teams and other campus constituents to drive attendance.
  • Solicit on-campus support for athletics (students and faculty/staff).
  • Supervise undergraduate student promotions staff (i.e. Flight Squad & Rudy).
  • Serve as Men’s & Women’s Basketball stage manager.

Athletics Ticket Sales & Operations Graduate Assistant

Job Description: 

  • Assist in building and maintaining events, seasons and ticket inventories in Archtics and TM1.
  • Assist in managing inventory and monitoring sales activity.
  • Assist in designing and executing sales campaigns and special promotions for select sports.
  • Assist in maintaining regular communication with season ticket holders, group leads and prospective buyers through calls, emails and mailings.
  • Assist in supporting front line sales and customer service outreach.
  • Work ticket sales booth on game day for ticketed sports.
  • Assist in facilitating ticket requests for gamedays, including management of team pass lists. 
Athletic Performance Graduate Assistant
This position is closely linked to the Seattle University Kinesiology Master Program. Applicants for this position should already have applied or simultaneously submit an application to the program for consideration.
 
Job Description:
  • Ensure safe and positive training environment in the Wright Family Performance Center for all student athletes.
  • Serve as lead for assigned teams, assisting coaches in the achievement of team and individual outcomes through program (strength and conditioning) design and implementation.
  • Design, update and maintain assigned team training programs in Teambuildr.
  • Collaborate with athletic training staff to review modifications and ensure student health and safety and appropriate levels and intensity of activity.
  • Teach and instruct student athletes on proper performance movements, drills and activities.
  • Collaborate with Kinesiology faculty and staff to optimize biometric data collection, analysis and utilization with coaches and students.
  • Partner with Kinesiology faculty to design and implement systematic biometric data pipelines — integrating wearable sensors, force plate systems, and velocity-based training technology — translating multi-modal athlete monitoring outputs into actionable insights for coaches and student-athletes.
  • Collaborate with Kinesiology faculty and staff to architect integrated biometric data workflows spanning wearables, force plate assessment, and VBT, bridging performance science research with applied coaching decision-making.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based practice by continuously evaluating emerging performance science literature and translating validated innovations in wearable technology, force plate diagnostics, and velocity-based training monitoring into applied sport contexts.
  • Stay current with advances in performance science research, critically appraising emerging wearable platforms, force plate methodologies, and VBT applications to ensure biometric data collection and analysis practices reflect best-in-class, evidence-informed standards.
  • Current accredited strength certification required (NCSA, CSCCa or NCSF)
