Athletics Advancement & Donor Relations
 

This position is closely linked to the Seattle University MBA-SEM Program. Applicants for this position should already have applied or simultaneously submit an application to the program for consideration.

Job Description: 

  • Ability to use problem-solving and ethical decision-making skills daily, in line with NCAA Compliance to provide service to internal and external constituents. 
  • Lead and manage all athletics hospitality events 
  • Work with athletic development staff in coordinating and implementing the renewal and stewardship efforts with annual fund donors. 
  • Assist development team on special event planning and execution. 
  • Assist in tracking and securing revenues derived from event registration and auctions. 
  • Plan and execute annual and team fund campaign. 
  • Organize donor related correspondence. 
  • Coordinate volunteers for special events, fundraising campaigns, and other department functions. 
  • Research donor leads and develop prospect lists in concert with ticket sales campaigns. 
  • Maintain and update lists to include Key Donors, Donor parking list and Hall of Fame list. 
  • Promote a strong, positive, and professional atmosphere consistent with the mission of Seattle University, Department of Athletics, Western Athletic Conference and NCAA. 


Compliance Graduate Assistant 

This position is closely linked to the Seattle University MBA-SEM Program. Applicants for this position should already have applied or simultaneously submit an application to the program for consideration.

Job Description: 

  • Provide excellent customer service to coaches and staff, prospective and current student-athletes in matters concerning NCAA and WCC Compliance. 
  • Monitor, review and approve official visit requests, athletic aid agreement requests, and CARA activity logs. 
  • Generate and distribute athletic aid agreements in JumpForward, and register signed agreements in the NCAA Eligibility Center and/or the Transfer Portal. 
  • Track and monitor incoming student status in the NCAA Eligibility Center. 
  • Maintain and update rosters and profiles, and monitor the distribution and completion of digital compliance forms in JumpForward. 
  • Liaison between coaches and ticketing/gameday staff for complimentary tickets for student-athletes and prospects. 
  • Assist in designing and implementing NCAA Rules Education content and programs. 
  • Serve as a member of the academic eligibility certification committee. 
  • Provide regular and ongoing one-on-one academic support guidance to a specific group of student athletes (likely 6-8 students per term), assisting the students with topics such as time management, course work planning, and resource utilization. 
  • Assist in creating and distribute class absence letters and calendars each term for applicable.


Game Day Experience & Operations Graduate Assistant

This position is closely linked to the Seattle University MBA-SEM Program. Applicants for this position should already have applied or simultaneously submit an application to the program for consideration. 

Job Description: 

  • Provide assistance with all aspects of game day operations and logistics. 
  • Responsibilities include, pre-game preparation, event timeline, permits and sanctions, event set-up, operations and breakdown. 
  • Oversight of event scheduling, use by outside rental clients and execution of contracted responsibilities by outside vendors. 
  • Manage third party hospitality for visiting teams and officials. 
  • Maintenance of equipment inventory and procurement and transport of event supplies and equipment. 
  • Recruitment, hiring, training and management of student event staff. 
  • Collaboration with Sports Marketing and Promotions graduate assistants on creative ideas and elements for enhanced game-day experience across all Seattle U events. 
  • Promote a strong positive and professional atmosphere consistent with the mission of Seattle University, department of athletics, Western Athletic Conference and NCAA. 


Athletic Performance Graduate Assistant 

This position is closely linked to the Seattle University Kinesiology Master Program. Applicants for this position should already have applied or simultaneously submit an application to the program for consideration. 

Job Description: 

  • Ensure safe and positive training environment in the Wright Family Performance Center for all student athletes. 
  • Serve as lead for assigned teams, assisting coaches in the achievement of team and individual outcomes through program (strength and conditioning) design and implementation. 
  • Design, update and maintain assigned team training programs in Teambuildr. 
  • Collaborate with athletic training staff to review modifications and ensure student health and safety and appropriate levels and intensity of activity. 
  • Teach and instruct student athletes on proper performance movements, drills and activities. 
  • Collaborate with Kinesiology faculty and staff to optimize biometric data collection, analysis and utilization with coaches and students. 
  • Be continually open to learning and applying researched-based and appropriate performance science innovations, as well as the application of biometric tools and testing protocols. 
  • Current accredited strength certification required (NCSA, CSCCa or NCSF)
