The Seattle University athletic training department will ensure the emergency action plan education and review for the appropriate department personnel to be prepared for emergency scenarios and actions that must be taken in order to provide the best possible care to the sport participant of emergency and/or life threatening conditions. A member of the certified athletic training staff will review the emergency action plan and communication strategies with all head coaches at the beginning of every academic year. The athletic department will use the Seattle University Varsity Emergency Action Plan for specific guidelines for each sport's practice/competition venue.
