The following A-Z Guide is for all Athletic events held in the Redhawk Center. This includes Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Swimming. We hope this guide helps you as you prepare for your visit to Seattle University and the Redhawk Center.
 
ACCESSIBILITY ACCOMMODATIONS
Below is a list of disability services currently offered at Redhawk Center. Feel free to reach out to the Ticket Office at 206-398-4678 to help make arrangements prior to your visit if you have any special needs, questions or concerns regarding our services.
 
Accessible Parking for Guests with Disabilities
Most parking in the vicinity of the Redhawk Center is street parking managed by the City of Seattle. Seattle University manages three paid lots along E Cherry St and E Jefferson St (See PARKING MAP section below). Paid parking may be available in these lots on game day but cannot be guaranteed. The lots are located at:

  • NE corner of 14th Ave and E Jefferson St
  • NW corner of 14th Ave and E Cherry St
  • Murphy Garage at the NW Corner of Logan Field

Accessible Drop-Off/Pick-Up
There are two Loading Zones located near the corner of 14th Ave and E Cherry St that may be used for an accessible drop-off/pick up point for guests with disabilities. Both areas are marked by yellow paint and signage along the curb.
 
Accessible Pedestrian Route & Entrance
Entry to the Redhawk Center is on the 2nd floor of the building. An accessible ramp is available at the corner of 14th Ave and E Cherry St and may be accessed directly from the 14th Ave sidewalk.
 
Accessible Restrooms for Guests with Disabilities
Both Men’s and Women’s restrooms located on the 2nd floor of the Redhawk Center are accessible for guests with disabilities. Restrooms are located in the main lobby on the South side of the court area.
 
Gender Neutral Accessible Restroom
There is one gender neutral accessible family restroom located on the 2nd floor of the Redhawk Center. A changing table is provided in this restroom for families with small children.
 
Seating for Guests with Disabilities
A limited number of accessible seats are available for guests with disabilities in the Redhawk Center. Guests may reach out to the Ticket Office ahead of game day at 20-398-4678 to request accommodations. Accessible seating will be filled on a first come, first-serve basis.
 
Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices are available upon request. Devices may be checked out by guests at the Ticket Office near the entry to the Redhawk Center. Post-event guests should return the listening device to the nearest Game Operations staff member.
 
Emergency Evacuation
If an emergency evacuation arises, staff will be available to persons with disabilities who request assistance in exiting the venue.  The primary accessible exits are either the primary 2nd floor entrance or the doors at the NW corner of the court. Please follow the direction of the Public Address announcer and venue video board.
 
ANIMALS
Animals or pets are prohibited in Redhawk Center. Trained service animals are welcome at the Redhawk Center. These animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times and should be leashed or tethered, except when such tethering would impede the animal’s ability to perform its trained tasks. Service animals:

  • Must not exhibit aggressive behavior towards people or other animals
  • Are not to bark, growl or whine unless this forms part of a task related to the handler’s disability.
  • Ahould not seek food or other items from the general public, and
  • Their presence should not disrupt standard operations.

Any service animal that does not adhere to these guidelines may be asked to leave the facility.

*Service animals are dogs specifically trained to assist individuals with disabilities, which may be physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disabilities.

BAG POLICY
NEW FOR 2025: Seattle University has implemented a clear bag policy for Men’s & Women’s Basketball games. Guests are encouraged leave unnecessary bags at home or in their vehicle and to arrive early to allow time for bag inspection. All bags will be searched upon arrival to the venue.

Permitted Bags
The following bags are permitted into the venue:

  • One (1) clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC not exceeding 14" x 6" x 14"
  • One (1) small clutch purse or wallet no larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5” (does not need to be clear)
  • Medically necessary items and diaper bags (child must be present) will be allowed upon inspection

Prohibited Bags
The following bags are NOT permitted:

  • Backpacks of any kind
  • Non-clear purses or bags larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5"
  • Tinted or colored bags, drawstring bags (unless clear), camera bags, luggage, or briefcases 

BANNER/SIGNAGE POLICY
Seattle U Athletics reserves the right to prohibit or remove any banner or sign. Signs that obstruct the view of other fans, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement, or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate, or derogatory are strictly prohibited.
 
CAMERA POLICY
Cameras are permitted for personal use only. Professional cameras and cameras with telephoto or detachable lenses longer than the width of the camera are prohibited. Flash photography, video cameras, monopods, and tripods are also prohibited. Seattle University Athletics reserves the right to ask guests to put cameras or video equipment away. All media must be credentialed via Seattle U Athletic Communications.
 
CONCESSIONS
Concessions are located on the second floor of the Redhawk Center, across from the restrooms. Concessions in the Redhawk Center are cash free. Debit /credit cards and Seattle U Student ID’s with meal plans are accepted. Concessions are not sold during home swim meets.

DOORS
Doors to events at the Redhawk Center open one (1) hour prior to event start.

General Public Entry
Guests will enter through the Porter Pavilion 2nd level doors on the northwest corner of the Redhawk Center. Access is available via the ramp near 14th Ave. and E Cherry St., or the stairs at the base of the Pavilion.

Student Entry (men's and women's basketball only)
A dedicated student entrance is located on the 2nd level off E Cherry St., a short walk from the corner of 14th Ave and E Cherry St. The student entry will close once ingress slows after tip-off.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING - if you notice or become aware of any suspicious, concerning, or unusual activity both inside and outside the venue please report the activity to the nearest event staff member. In the event of an emergency please follow the directions of the PA announcer, event staff, and emergency responders. Once seated, please locate the nearest exit and an alternate exit in case of an emergency. Always designate a predetermined location both inside and outside the venue to meet friends and family in case you are separated or in the event of an emergency.
 
FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
Seattle University is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for all guests. It is expected that all guests conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during, and after the competition. We expect all fans to treat other guests, players, coaches, and officials with courtesy. To ensure a fun, safe, family atmosphere please refrain from:

  • Interfering with others ability to enjoy the game
  • Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures
  • Being or appearing to be intoxicated
  • Failing to produce a ticket upon request
  • Entering the competition or restricted access areas
  • Smoking except in designated areas (Seattle U is a tobacco free campus)
  • Throwing objects onto the competition area or within the venue
  • Otherwise being disorderly

Guests found to be in violation of the Fan Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the venue. You may report fans in violation of the Code to the nearest working staff member.

LEGENDS LOUNGE
For more information regarding access to the Legends Lounge, please visit this link. Legends Lounge guests receive access to the parking lot located on the south side of the Redhawk Center. Guests may also use the dedicated Legends Lounge entrance located on the 1st floor just below the General Public entrance until tip off. Entry to the venue following tip-off will take place at the 2nd floor General Public entrance.

LOST AND FOUND
All guests looking to claim, or report lost items during an event should find the nearest Event Staff. All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the game will be available for pick-up with campus Public Safety no earlier than the following business day. Public Safety may be contacted the next business day at 206-296-5992. All unclaimed items will be disposed of after (30) days.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Outside food is permitted in single-serving sizes. Outside beverages are not permitted, with the exception of:

  • Empty reusable (non-glass) water bottles up to 32oz (One per guest)
  • Baby bottles or medical-related beverages
  • Unopened, soft-sided single serve containers (i.e. juice boxes).

PARKING & TRANSIT
PLAN AHEAD! There are many ways guests may choose to travel to the Redhawk Center.
 
Campus Parking
There are several campus operated parking lots within walking distance of the Redhawk Center. Paid parking in these lots on game day is not managed by athletics and spots are not guaranteed. For more information guests may visit the Seattle U Visitor Parking Page.

Men’s Basketball Parking
The lot located on the South side of the Redhawk Center is reserved for Legend’s Lounge members.

Permits for campus permit holders will be honored until 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 2.5 hours before tipoff on weekends. After that time, citations will be issued regardless of permit status. Signage will be placed at both lots with reminders of these closures before gamedays.

The lot will reopen for normal operations at approximately three (3) hours post tip-off on gameday.

Street Parking
Street parking is available in the area for events at the Redhawk Center. Guests are expected to follow all street signs posted by the City of Seattle.
 
Public Transportation
Seattle U’s campus and the Redhawk Center are accessible via several methods of Public Transportation. To see the various ways, you can get to campus check out the Seattle U Campus page – Getting to Seattle University.
 
PROHIBITED ITEMS
All guests and personal items are subject to search prior to entering Redhawk Center. For the safety and game day experience of all fans, the following items are prohibited from entering:

  • Alcohol, Drugs & Other Harmful Substances
  • Animals (except for service animals)
  • Bags (except those noted in Bag Policy)
  • Balloons, balls, and frisbees
  • Coolers and containers
  • Drones and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
  • Glass of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Hover-boards, Scooters & Bicycles
  • Laser pointers
  • Professional Cameras
  • Selfie stick
  • Weapons of any kind

RE-ENTRY
Re-entry is NOT permitted at the Redhawk Center for ticketed events (men's and women's basketball, volleyball).
 
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located on the second floor of the south lobby of the Redhawk Center across from concessions.
 
STROLLERS
Storage space for strollers is limited and unattended. Guests are encouraged to leave strollers in their vehicle.
 
SMOKING/TOBACCO
Seattle University is a tobacco free campus. The use or sale of tobacco products is prohibited on and within all Seattle University owned, leased, or managed property and at university sponsored off-campus events. This includes, but not limited to: cigarettes, e-cigarettes, marijuana, vape pens, and smokeless tobacco.
 
SUSTAINABILITY
Seattle University encourages all guests to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Compost, recycling, and trash containers are located throughout all areas of the venue for guests to properly dispose of any materials. TICKETING
Tickets are required for admission to Seattle U Men’s & Women’s Basketball and Volleyball games. Tickets are not required for Men’s & Women’s Swim meets.

Children
Children ages three (3) and older must have a ticket to enter a Seattle University Athletics ticketed event. Children ages two (2) and under are granted complimentary admission to all Seattle University Athletics events with the understanding they sit on the lap of an adult and do not disturb other guests.
 
Faculty/Staff
All Seattle University benefits-eligible faculty and staff receive two (2) complimentary tickets for all regular-season events in the Redhawk Center. Tickets are subject to availability and may be claimed at the following LINK.
 
Students
All Seattle University undergraduate, graduate and law students receive complimentary admission to all regular-season Seattle University athletics contests. Student seating at all venues is general admission, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are subject to availability and may be claimed at the following LINK.
