SEATTLE – The Seattle University Redhawks head to Napa, California for the final regular season competition of the 2024-25 season, taking part in the Chevron Silverado Showdown April 7-9. That is Seattle U's last competition before the Western Athletic Conference Championships kick off postseason play on April 14.

The Redhawks are fresh off the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, where they finished seventh as a team. Jeanne Padillo and Rivekka Jumagulova led the team, each finishing at even par across 54 holes. Padillo was named the WAC Golfer of the Week for her efforts, which included her collegiate-best single round of -2 under, 70.

Padillo is one of five current Redhawks to have earned WAC Golfer of the Week, along with Jumagulova, Tsara Ralamboarison, Aaryanna Morris, and Shayna Lu. Jumagulova and Ralamboarison have each earned WAC Golfer of the Week this season as well.

Padillo is one of many Redhawks hitting their stride as postseason nears. Jumagulova has now had seven consecutive rounds with a score no worse than +1 over par. She has just one round over a 74 this season: a 76, recorded in the first competition of the season, the Leadership & Golf Invitational in September.

Ralamboarison has shot par or better in four of her last six rounds. She earned WAC Golfer of the Week just two competitions ago, when she finished a career-best second overall at the Red Rocks Invitational.

Annika Cruz has been no worse than +6 over par in her last eight rounds of play, which includes a -3 under, 69, her best round of the season.

The Redhawks have never competed in Napa, California before, with this their first-ever trip to the Chevron Silverado Showdown. It is the third time this season that Seattle U has competed in California: the Redhawks took seventh out of 12 teams at the Causeway Invitational in Sacramento and reached the semifinals at Mountain Classic Match Play in Palm Desert.

After the Chevron Silverado Showdown, the Redhawks will head to Litchfield Park, Arizona for the WAC Championships. That competition runs April 14-16.
